Wow this is a lot harder than I would have thought! My friends have told me that I am not anything like the stereotypical Asian American guy: I'm a reasonably good driver, I don't smell funny, and I don't eat anything with the head still attached. People would describe me as "intense" and I tend to agree. When I love, I fall hard and fast...I will do anything to make you laugh and when you are sad, I am sad too. My father sadly was killed in a helicopter accident near Chiclayo, Peru on the 11th of March, 2008. None of the ten aboard the Bell412 helicopter survived the crash. I love you Dad.

So, I've finally decided to actually update my profile, since it's lain fallow for far too long. The inertia of my own laziness is significant and has prevented me from acting until now.

I'd like to think I'm a pretty easygoing person. I have a penchant for being sarcastic and saying the things everyone else is thinking but no one else is willing to say. My sense of humor takes a little adjusting to, but I'm basically a nice guy.

I am a student at Palomar College, and plan to transfer to an art college to get a degree in 3D animation and get a job doing special effects in movies. I enjoy computers, and videogames, i volunteer teaching robotics at a local middle school, and mentor a robotics team at my old high school. I play tennis occasional, I have alot of free time, but at the same time i don't, usually i'm available when people want to hang out though. I also work the night shift at Kohl's in Poway.

I would like to find someone to share at least some of the activities and have similar interests in life. I love animals and have 2 birds and a dog at this time. I'm into anime, games, AI, history, science, the SCA...lots of stuff. I'm a quiet person, for the most part. I like to hang out with my friends, either in real life or on WoW. I read webcomics, fantasy novels, Science Fiction, and the odd historical fiction or tech manual. I program for a living, but I'm not a serious computer geek. I don't think I'm that serious about anything, really, except trying to enjoy life.

I have recently come to the belief that this time period is not the one I was meant to be born into. I say this not to sound anomalous or maniacal, but rather for quite logical reasons in that I don't quite fit in with my generation. I find myself yearning for days past that I have (and will) never experienced, yet feel this indescribable connection to. I share the same personality traits as woman who would've drowned in her own tears had it not been for committing suicide, and a ruler infamous for burning nearly 300 dissenters of faith alive at the stake. It'd odd; I loathe feminism, but I rather enjoy ancient stories of powerful women who took it upon themselves to become powerful and eventually create chaos. After all, to create, you must destroy.

Am I ill? Perhaps. In any case, I believe the world I've created for myself in my mind's eye is far more entertaining than the one I am forced to reside in in reality. By enveloping myself in this realm, I am keeping myself safe from the cruel habits of my generation. In other words, I don't drink and I don't smoke. Besides, why bother destroying my body, when I am already otherwise in a state of mental destruction? This is so much more satisfying! Trust me!

Other things about me: I play well with others (assuming they are male); I am quiet and reserved, but for good reason; I often think that my words are not worthy of the ears they fall upon... yet, I also can talk for hours about subjects I am passionate about. I'm not a contradiction; I'm a true eccentric.

In fact, very few people understand me inside and out. Even friends I've known for the past six years don't seem to full understand me as a person. Despite this, I consider myself an open book (even if that book contains words not spoken since the 1800s).

I am happy to announce that I have found someone with whom to share my delusions with! He is truly the love of my life, and I cannot spending imagine the rest of my days with anyone else!

I am a spirit-filled reborn Christian - non denominational. I am a father of a 29 year old son and grandpa to my pride and joy 18 month old granddaughter. I am retired from twenty years in the emergency field - the medical side of the house. I had to retire due to an on the job injury from the fire department. I hit my head - no not doing anything heroic - I was emptying a trash can and smacked my noggin on a shelf. I know you are laughing but most injuries occur in station not in an emergency. I hope you stopped laughing. Since then I have served as an Associate Pastor but due to a heart attack I had to give it up. So now I am an unofficial volunteer chaplain at a Nursing Home and feel led of God to return to the ministry, as an evangelist with my lifemate Queen.

My education includes an AA in accounting/software applications, a BA in Sociology, many undergraduate hours in computer science, EMT and Fire Service, as well as a semester of Master of Divinity at a major seminary and missions graduate school.

At home I am a great cook, bbqer, baker; excellent at housework and laundry; love gardening; fair at house repair and maintence; and other things in the home. I love to spoil my Queen and not afraid to help or do house and yard chores; so we can have more time together. Sorry, I am not a car mechanic.

I was born a poor black child in Illinois...okay, okay, I wasn't really that poor but it definitely was in Illinois. I've spent most of my life in Southern California (grew up in Los Angeles, have lived here in sunny San Diego since 1982) though I've spent relatively significant periods of my life in New York, Pennsylvania, Louisiana, Colorado, and Virginia. I'm a freelance writer, a part-time daydream believer, and perhaps the 13th best air guitarist in the whole wide world.

I'm just up for new things. Whatever, whenever, I'm always down to learn something, see new places, and have all sorts of fun. Luckily I live in SD, where it's all possible. I'm not a nerd but I am a knowledge-whore; I can spend hours on wiki or elsewhere on the internet. I'm not a huge fan of pop culture or celebs or anything like that. People who follow that sort of nonsense irritate me to no end. Christian and exploring it, but not a Bible-beater by any means. I'm open to any religion, anyone, anything. I'm so very loyal. I love to read, and no fluff stuff. Dense books written in the old style. Classics, savvy? Hate modern tv, love movies, again classics. Football is a must in my life. I can't stand bad spelling, it shows either a lack of intelligence or lack of respect for the only language you speak. So yeah, I'm respectful as well. Honesty is a priority. I'm love/hate on a lot of things I guess, but in the end, I am love.

In short, I'm classic.

I enjoy to clebrate life. It sure would be more enjoyable to have someone to celebrate with. I have been married, have kids, one at home on the weekends but in High School so mom gets her time. I am so over the partying at the clubs. It never brings anything good. I enjoy picnics, entertaining, going to sporting events, concerts, bbques at home, spending time with friends and family. I am very easy to get along with and am not judgemental. I bring me, you bring you, and if the two shall work together great. I don't believe in forcing things in a relationship.
