A free one-day market in Barrio Logan with local vendors, vintage finds, handmade goods, a coffee cart, and a live DJ — minutes from Petco Park before the Padres game.
Barrio Logan does maker culture better than just about anywhere in San Diego, and on Saturday, July 11, there's a new reason to spend a morning there. B-Sides Market takes over The Bakery — a converted 1940s warehouse studio on Main Street — from 11 AM to 3 PM, with local vendors, vintage finds, handmade goods, a coffee cart, and a live DJ. It's completely free to walk in, and it lands just before the Padres game, so you can shop the market and stroll over to Petco for first pitch.
B-Sides Market is a one-day pop-up bringing together San Diego makers and sellers under one roof for an afternoon of sip-and-shop. The lineup includes:
The setting is half the appeal. The Bakery is a 2,000-square-foot studio in a renovated 1940s warehouse — exposed rafters, worn concrete floors, big roll-up door letting in the afternoon light, and a plant-filled lounge with vintage furniture. It's the kind of industrial-cool Barrio Logan space that makes for a great browse (and, let's be honest, a great photo).

11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
The Bakery
1878 Main St., Suite D, San Diego, CA 92113 (Barrio Logan)
You're minutes from Petco Park here, which is the move: the market wraps at 3:00, and the Padres host the Toronto Blue Jays at 5:40 PM that evening. Shop the market, grab a coffee, then make the short walk over for the game.
Barrio Logan is one of the city's most creative neighborhoods, and markets like this are where you actually find the good stuff — one-of-a-kind vintage, handmade pieces, and makers you'll want to follow afterward. Add a DJ, a coffee cart, and zero cover charge, and it's an easy yes for a Saturday. Pair it with the Padres game and you've got a full day in southeast downtown without ever needing to move your car far.
How much does it cost to get in?
Nothing — the market is free to attend. You'll just want cash or a card for the vendors and coffee.
What kind of vendors will be there?
Local sellers offering a mix of vintage and handmade goods. It's a curated, small-business crowd rather than a big-box setup.
Is there parking?
There's street parking around Barrio Logan, but it fills up on event days — and with the Padres playing that evening, the area will be busy. Give yourself a few extra minutes, or consider the Blue Line Trolley (the Barrio Logan station is close by).
Can I bring kids?
It's an all-ages, community-style market, so it's a relaxed environment to bring the family through.
Is the Padres game part of the event?
No — they're separate, but the timing lines up nicely. The market runs 11 AM–3 PM, and the Padres vs. Blue Jays first pitch is at 5:40 PM at Petco Park, a short walk away.
After watching hundreds of people make the move, I can tell you the real reasons people relocate to San Diego — including the one nobody admits out loud.
