Coronado Concerts in the Park: Big Time Operator, Sunday, June 28

Overview

This week brings the full big-band treatment: Big Time Operator, 16 musicians strong, swings the gazebo at Spreckels Park. Like every show in Coronado's 56-year free concert series, it won't cost you a dime. They're a five-time San Diego Music Award winner for Best Big Band, and even turned up in the film Pearl Harbor — and there's something special about a full sixteen-piece swing band playing outdoors at sunset. Spread a blanket, pour a glass of wine, and watch them light up a warm Sunday evening.
