Make Your Own Sushi: A Hands-On Sushi-Rolling Class in Downtown San Diego
Roll up your sleeves and learn to make sushi like a pro — a casual, chef-led, hands-on class at Knotty Barrel in the Gaslamp. Three rolls, all equipment provided, no experience needed
Ever wanted to make your own sushi instead of just ordering it? CocuSocial's Make Your Own Sushi class hands you the mat and walks you through it, start to finish. It's a fun, hands-on evening where a chef teaches you the tips and tricks of rolling — from the perfect sushi rice to cutting fresh ingredients to the art of the roll itself. It runs on multiple dates at Knotty Barrel in downtown San Diego, and it's built to be casual and welcoming, not intimidating.
Over the class, you'll make three rolls — a Spicy Tuna Roll, a Veggie Roll, and a "catch of the day" that uses fresh, locally sourced fish and sustainable ingredients. You're encouraged to get creative: try rolling with the seaweed inside and out, and mix and match ingredients to invent your own signature roll. No experience required, all equipment and ingredients provided.
