Point Loma Summer Concerts rolls on at Point Loma Park on Friday, July 24, 2026 with The Bill Wells Band, a high-energy rock, pop, R&B, and blues cover band — and like every night in this beloved series, it's completely free.
It's one of San Diego's most cherished summer traditions — and it's perfect for families, fans of crowd-pleasing dance-along covers, and anyone who wants to spread out a blanket, bring a picnic, and enjoy a genre-hopping night of live music under the summer sky.
Week three brings The Bill Wells Band, a versatile cover band that moves through rock, pop, R&B, and blues — a setlist built to get the whole park dancing. With something for every generation in the crowd, it's a perfect midpoint to the series. As always, a junior band opens at 5:30 p.m. on the smaller stage, featuring up-and-coming local musicians.
For 26 years, this series has defined the San Diego summer Friday. Families and friends arrive early, lay out blankets and low chairs on the grass, unpack picnics, and settle in as the music carries across the park. It's relaxed, communal, and unmistakably Point Loma — and a genre-spanning cover band keeps the energy up all evening.
Each Friday evening:
Friday, July 24, 2026 — junior stage 5:30 p.m., Main Stage 6:30 p.m.
Location: Point Loma Park, 1049 Catalina Blvd., San Diego, CA 92107 — at the Point Loma Optimist baseball field next to Fire Station 22.
The park sits in the heart of Point Loma, an easy trip from Ocean Beach and the rest of the peninsula. Parking is limited on concert nights, so arrive early or walk/bike if you're local.
