Porsches, pours, and pups come together this Sunday at Hopnonymous Brewing in Kearny Mesa — a free afternoon of craft beer, sports cars, and adoptable rescue dogs benefiting Del Mar Dog Rescue.
Porsches, pours, and pups — three of San Diego's favorite things, all in one place. This Sunday, rows of Porsches roll into Hopnonymous Brewing Co. for an afternoon of craft beer, adoptable rescue dogs, and a good cause. Part car show, part brewery hang, part adoption drive, Porsches, Pours, and Pups benefits Del Mar Dog Rescue and draws car enthusiasts, beer lovers, and dog people in equal measure. Here's everything you need to know.
The three-hour gathering at Hopnonymous Brewing Co. packs a lot into one afternoon. Porsches go on display, with owners on hand to talk about their vehicles. Del Mar Dog Rescue brings adoptable dogs, giving potential adopters a chance to meet animals looking for homes.
One. Foot. In. performs live music throughout the afternoon. Bravo Pizza Truck serves wood-fired pizza on-site while Hopnonymous pours craft beer from its taps. The event welcomes families, kids, and leashed dogs.
Admission is free, and the event runs on a donation-based model. Donate at the door and you'll receive raffle tickets toward prizes — the more you give, the more chances you have to win. Local businesses contribute everything from restaurant gift certificates to retail merchandise for both the raffle and the silent auction, with bid sheets accompanying each item and highest offers winning at the end.
Every dollar raised supports Del Mar Dog Rescue's veterinary care, shelter operations, and adoption services. As an annual fundraiser, Porsches, Pours, and Pups gives the rescue predictable funding it can plan its budget around — while also raising awareness for dogs currently up for adoption. If you can't make it this weekend, you can still donate directly to Del Mar Dog Rescue.
Parking: The lot directly behind the brewery is reserved for Porsche club members and Porsche owners participating in the show. Non-Porsche drivers should use the yellow overflow lot or street parking nearby. Kearny Mesa weekend events fill up fast, so arriving early gives you more options.
