One Sunday a year, you can cross the Coronado Bridge on foot — May 17, 2026. The 39th annual Navy Bay Bridge Run/Walk offers 4-mile and 10K options to benefit Navy MWR programs.
The San Diego Coronado Bridge is off-limits to pedestrians 364 days a year. The Navy Bay Bridge Run is the one exception — and on Sunday, May 17, 2026, the 39th annual edition gives you the chance to run or walk across it with 200 feet of bay views beneath you. Hosted by Navy Region Southwest MWR, the Navy Bay Bridge Run/Walk raises funds for Quality of Life Programs supporting 500,000+ members of San Diego's military family. Here's what to know.
How long is the Navy Bay Bridge Run? You've got two distance options. The 4-mile point-to-point course runs through downtown San Diego, over the Coronado Bridge, and finishes at Tidelands Park. The 10K follows the same route, then adds a flat-and-fast section through Coronado Island.
Your entry includes a commemorative t-shirt and finisher medal. This year's 39th medal is designed to connect with next year's 40th anniversary medal — a nice touch if you're planning to run both.
Free shuttle bus and ferry transportation back to the start line is included after you cross the finish.
