William RouttSep 30, 20264 min.

23rd annual Lodge tasting Oct. 18, 11:30 a.m.–3 p.m. Chefs, farms, wine. $375 GA, 21+. Benefits San Diego Food Bank.

Celebrate the Craft is the Lodge at Torrey Pines’ outdoor tasting — chefs, farms, and wine on the bluff above the golf course — 21+, $375, one Sunday afternoon. Not a wedding, not a public park picnic.

Overview

The 23rd annual event is Sunday, October 18, 2026, 11:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. on the Lodge grounds at 11480 N. Torrey Pines Road, looking over Torrey Pines Golf Course and the Pacific. Executive Chef Eric Sakai hosts. Charitable partner is the San Diego Food Bank. Details and the producer list live on the Lodge page; tickets are on TicketSauce.

This year’s copy adds interactive tastings, artisan demos, entertainment, and a poolside cocktails-and-desserts setup. You are paying for a curated walk-around, not an all-you-can-eat buffet line.

What to Expect

Three and a half hours of stations, not a seated tasting menu. Sakai’s kitchen (A.R. Valentien’s Owen Beatty is on the chef list) plus a short stack of names worth knowing if you eat out in San Diego: Drew Deckman, Brad Wise (Trust), Travis Swikard (Callie), plus Jason McLeod, Jojo Ruiz, Brian Redzikowski, Rob Ruiz, and others on the Lodge’s current producer page. We are not reprinting the full farm/winery dump.

Makers on the grounds: Petite Paloma boots, The Wheel Stoneware pottery demos. That’s the “craft” half, not a second concert.

VIP is an add-on, not a different door time.

Good to Know

  • Parking is limited. Lodge recommends Uber/Lyft. If you drive, buy self-parking in advance; day-of self-park and valet are first-come and scarce.
  • Rideshare is the honest plan if you’re drinking at a wine festival on a bluff with one road in.
  • 21+ only. Don’t bring the kids and hope.
  • Food Bank is the charity partner — the ticket is still a luxury tasting, not a donation-only fundraiser.

One Sunday, one Lodge lawn, $375 before tax. Buy official TicketSauce if you’re going.
