Bing Crosby Opening Day at Del Mar Racetrack, Nov 6

Del Mar runs two Opening Days. The hats-and-2 p.m. post version is July 17. This card is the other one: Bing Crosby Season Opening Day, Friday, November 6, 2026.

The club’s line is cooler weather, the same seaside oval, and a shorter fall meet (Nov. 6–29). First post is 12:30 p.m. — not the summer 2 o’clock. Gates 11:00 a.m. The Nov. 6 card is eight races, with the Let It Ride Stakes on the stakes board. It’s also Seniors’ Day and Diamond Club Day (Diamond Club members get free admission this Friday).

Overview

Fall admission is a different price than summer Opening Day. Official Bing Crosby race-day tickets:

• Grandstand seats $9–$16
• Box seats $9–$16
• Trackside dining tables $70–$187 per table

If you want the whole fall calendar (Thanksgiving post times, Turf Festival), use the Del Mar racing season card. This one is just Friday the 6th.

Getting There

I-5, exit Via de la Valle, west to the track. Parking is charged per vehicle; no re-entry. Confirm the day’s rate on DMTC before you go — they don’t print a single number on the Opening Day event page.

Rideshare drop-off and pickup is on Jimmy Durante Blvd; pull into the lot before you request a ride. Amtrak and Coaster stop at Solana Beach; Del Mar runs a complimentary race-day shuttle from that station. Look for it when you get off.

Good to Know

Do not mix this up with summer Opening Day. No hats contest on the Bing Crosby listing. No 2 p.m. first post. The fall opener is a Friday 12:30 card at $8 to walk in — closer to a regular Bing Crosby race day with an Opening Day label than to July’s social circus.
