Fiesta del Sol 2026: Solana Beach's 45th Annual Free Festival

Dorthy Routt Millsap·May 23, 2026·5 min.

Solana Beach's 45th annual Fiesta del Sol returns to Fletcher Cove May 30–31, 2026. Free admission, 14+ bands, food trucks, a kids zone, and a beer and wine garden.

Event Overview

Fiesta del Sol is back in Solana Beach for its 45th annual run on May 30 and 31, 2026 — a free, two-day beachside street festival packed with live music, arts and crafts, food, and one of the best kid zones in the county. Hosted by the Solana Beach Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Belly Up and Loft 100 Studios.

It's the unofficial start of summer for North County, and the formula has barely changed in four decades because it works: over 14 live bands across two stages, food trucks, an artists' row, a beer and wine garden, and an entire block dedicated to kids. The Cedros Design District joins in with bands and shopping specials, so the festival effectively takes over a chunk of the village.

What's Included

Admission is completely free. You only pay for what you eat, drink, and shop.

  • Two days of live music across multiple stages
  • Arts & crafts fair with local artists and vendors
  • International food court with food trucks
  • Beer & wine garden (run in part by the Lions Club for charity)
  • Kids Zone with rides, games, and a climbing wall
  • Solana Beach Firefighters' Pancake Breakfast (Sunday, 7:30–10:00 AM in front of Fletcher Cove)

What to Bring

  • Cash and cards (some vendors prefer cash)

Who It's For

Everyone. This is the rare San Diego festival that genuinely works for couples, families with toddlers, groups of friends in their 20s, and grandparents — all in the same afternoon. The free admission and walkable layout make it especially good for families.

Pricing and How to Get Tickets

Free admission, no tickets required. Food, drinks, and vendor purchases are pay-as-you-go. Limited paid VIP seating is available for those who want guaranteed seats at the main stage.

Good to Know

  • Parking is tight — free parking with a free shuttle is available off Lomas Santa Fe, plus hundreds of free spaces along Highway 101 and South Sierra Avenue. Do not park on Cedros Avenue
  • The festival is at the beach, so layer up for the evening
  • Dogs are welcome on a non-retractable leash (6 feet or shorter), but the festival gets crowded — bring poop bags and read the room
  • Pancake breakfast Sunday morning (7:30–10 AM) is a local tradition worth showing up for
  • Follow @fiestadelsolfestival for lineup announcements and the official 2026 band lineup
