Mud Girl Is $30 Right Now Instead of $120, and Nobody Can Tell You When That Ends

Three miles, seventeen-plus obstacles, a new ranch venue in Valley Center, and a sale price of $30 against a stated regular price of $120. Book it before the sale moves.

Overview

Mud Girl comes to Valley Center on Saturday, November 14 — three miles, more than seventeen obstacles, and a brand-new venue.

Their description: "MUDGIRL is a 3 miles mud run with 17+ doable and fun obstacles dedicated to women!"

The word doing the work there is "doable." This is not a punishment course — it's a three-mile obstacle run built to be finished, with a start window that runs five hours wide so you can pick a civilised time.

Here's the thing to act on, and I'd do it today rather than next week.

Entry is currently $30. Their stated regular price is $120.

That's a "Spooky Season Special" running on their registration page right now — and the end date for it is broken on their own website. The banner reads, literally: "SPOOKY SEASON: UP TO 75% OFF FINAL PRICE UNTIL {{DATE}} - 11:59pm."

That {{DATE}} is an unfilled template placeholder. Nobody — not us, not a reader, not anyone reading their site — can tell when this price expires. Which is a strong argument for booking now at $30 rather than finding out the hard way.

The Prices

Entry:

  • Participant Ticket — $30.00. Valid for every wave except 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 a.m.
  • Premier Wave Ticket — $45.00. For the 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. waves, which they say are priced higher because of demand
  • Stated regular price: $120, plus taxes if applicable
  • Group discounts from 5% to 15% off, by quantity

On the day:

  • Parking — $20 (card preferred) · RV parking — $25
  • Bag drop — $5
  • Spectators — $10 online, $15 on site. Children under 16 are free

So a realistic solo total is about $55 — $30 entry, $20 parking, $5 bag drop. If three of you drive together and split the parking, it's closer to $42 each.

One hard rule: "All sales are final." No refunds.

The Schedule

  • 7:45 a.m. — festival opens
  • 8:30 a.m. — first wave
  • 1:29 p.m. — last wave. "No more runners will be accepted at the start line after 1:29pm"
  • 4:00 p.m. — festival closes

Their own advice: arrive 45 minutes to an hour before the start time on your ticket.

The 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 waves are the premium ones, which is a useful signal — those are the times everyone wants. If you don't mind an 8:30 start or an afternoon one, you save $15.

What You Get, and Who Can Do It

Included with entry: a headband, a wristband, a bag, a finisher medal and a tattoo.

Age minimum is 7. Children aged 7 to 13 must be accompanied by an adult for the entire race — so this works as a mother-and-daughter morning, which is clearly part of the intention. Their pitch is to "gather your girl squad."

The rinse stations and the change room are both marked WOMEN ONLY.

How to Go

  • When: Saturday, November 14, 2026. Waves from 8:30 a.m. to 1:29 p.m.
  • Where: Indian Hills Ranch, 16120 Woods Valley Rd., Valley Center, CA 92082 — a new venue this year
  • Distance: 3 miles, 17+ obstacles
  • Entry: $30 standard, $45 for a 9:30/10:30/11:30 wave
  • Parking $20, bag drop $5, spectators $10 online
  • Minimum age 7; 7–13 accompanied by an adult
  • Register through their site. All sales final
  • Their site notes: "ALL DATES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE"

Good to Know

  • Book now. $30 against a stated $120, and the sale's end date is literally missing from their website.
  • Take an 8:30 or an afternoon wave and save $15 over the 9:30–11:30 premium slots.
  • It's a new venue — Indian Hills Ranch in Valley Center, not wherever you went last time.
  • Budget $55 for the day solo, or carpool and split the $20 parking.
  • Bring a card for parking. They prefer it.
  • $5 bag drop is worth it — you will be covered in mud.
  • No refunds, so be sure of the date before you pay.
  • Bring a towel, a bin bag for the car, and shoes you don't love.

Why It's Worth It

Obstacle runs can be grim, self-serious things. This one is three miles, has a festival attached, lets you start as late as half one in the afternoon, and describes its own obstacles as "doable and fun."

It's built for a group of friends and a camera roll, not a personal best — and at thirty dollars with a $120 list price, it's the cheapest organised day out in North County this November.

Register, pick a wave that suits you, and take the eight-thirty slot if you want your afternoon back.
