Off Day Social: A Saturday Morning Rave Where Nobody's Hungover
Three DJs, a cold plunge, a sauna, a kava speakeasy and a free arcade — starting at 9 a.m. on a Saturday. It's a night out with the hangover removed.
Overview
The organizers put it better than we could: "No hangover. Just a Saturday that leaves you better than it found you."
Off Day Social Round 2 lands at Wicked West in Barrio Logan on Saturday, October 24, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets are $35.
The format is the thing. It's a nightclub's worth of production — three DJs, a beauty lounge, a kava and CBD speakeasy, a brand-new arcade that's free to play — wrapped around a workout and a recovery session, and it all happens before lunch.
Here's the thing to understand before you buy a ticket, because it changes how you plan your morning.
You don't do all of it. You pick a lane at the start. The first half is a choose-your-own-adventure, and the organizers lay out three:
- Lift, with GDO Fit
- Run, with URBN Run and We Run SD — and a DJ playing the entire route
- Or slow it down, with mobility work, then breathwork and sound bowls, or a hands-on recovery session
Then everybody converges on the recovery half: chiropractors, physical therapists, massage therapists and stretch specialists on site, a sauna and cold plunges, and a second big cold plunge from a separate operator.
Then it turns into a party. Three DJs, mocktails, food and drinks, the speakeasy, the arcade, prizes, challenges, giveaways and a costume competition.
And one genuinely notable thing buried in the lineup: a wellness partner is offering a $199 performance bloodwork panel that normally runs $450 or more, plus free B12 shots. If you've been meaning to get blood work done, that's most of your ticket price back in value before you've lifted anything.

How the Morning Works
Pick one to start:
- Lift — with @gdofit
- Run — with @urbn.run and @werun_sd, with @solo.dos.2 DJing the whole route. A DJ following a run club is not a thing most cities do.
- Mobility — with @imau.hp, finishing with breathwork and sound bowls from @connecting2thecore
- Or go straight to recovery — with @bodylever and @stevewiththesticks
Then actually recover:
- Chiropractors, PTs, massage therapists and stretch specialists on site to work on "whatever's been bugging you"
- Sauna and cold plunges from @dialed.health
- A big cold plunge from @beachsaunaexpress
- Free B12 shots from @joywellnesspartners, plus the $199 bloodwork panel
Then stay:
- Three DJs
- Mocktails, food and drinks
- A kava and CBD speakeasy
- A beauty lounge
- A brand-new arcade, free to play
- Prizes, challenges and giveaways all morning, plus a costume competition
Good to Know
- Bring a swimsuit and a towel. There are at least two separate cold plunge setups and a sauna. Turning up without either is the obvious mistake.
- Bring whatever your chosen lane needs — running shoes if you're running, training gear if you're lifting.
- Go in costume. There's a costume competition, it's the Saturday before Halloween, and you'll feel more out of place without one than with one.
- Eat something small first. You're starting at 9 and there's food on site, but a 9 a.m. lift or run on nothing is a bad plan.
- The bloodwork is worth researching before you go if that interests you — at $199 against a stated $450-plus, it's the single biggest-value item on the schedule, and it's not the kind of thing to decide on impulse at 11 a.m.
- It's four hours but you don't have to do four hours. Come for your lane and the recovery, leave when the DJs start, or skip the workout and arrive for the social half. Nobody's checking.
- This is the second edition. The organizers' line on Round 1: "Round 1 showed us what happens when you put a workout, a cold plunge, a DJ and a bunch of good people in one place. So we went bigger." Expect it to sell out faster next time.
Why It's Worth It
San Diego has a lot of run clubs, a lot of recovery studios and a lot of DJs, and they almost never appear in the same room. Off Day Social's whole idea is to collapse a night out and a wellness routine into the same four hours, and to do it early enough that your Saturday is still ahead of you when it ends.
Whether that sounds brilliant or exhausting probably tells you whether to buy a ticket. But at $35, with a sauna, two cold plunges, a bodywork team and three DJs included, the arithmetic is hard to argue with — and if you take the bloodwork, you're ahead on the day.
It's also in Barrio Logan, which is worth the trip on its own. Browse our full event calendar for more of what's on.
