How It Works

A "Chooser" leads a playful, intentional Q&A with three mystery contestants hidden behind a partition, Love is Blind style, then picks who they want to date without ever having seen them. It plays out over two rounds in front of a live audience, with matches made in real time on stage. Every match goes on a date that same night, and local partnering businesses sponsor it — the couple doesn't pay.

The singles mixer. After the show, the floor opens up to everyone. Singles, non-singles, drink in hand. It's the best part of a party with none of the small-talk dread: a room full of people who all showed up on purpose.

One detail worth knowing before you buy: only eight people are on stage all night — four in the first round and four in the second. The overwhelming majority of the room is there to watch, cheer and mingle. Nobody is getting pulled up unwillingly.

Jimmy O's is a Del Mar Village bar with a full kitchen and a full bar, a block and a half off Camino Del Mar and a short walk from the sand. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are both available for purchase, so you're not obliged to drink to take part.
