Live Nation is bringing Seth Meyers: Live to San Diego Civic Theatre on Friday, November 20 — a proper downtown stand-up night, not a taping of Late Night. Doors open an hour before the 7 p.m. start.

Overview

Meyers has hosted NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers since 2014. Before that he spent 13 seasons at Saturday Night Live: nine as head writer, eight as the Weekend Update anchor. The Civic Theatre date is the touring stand-up show — the same lane as his specials Lobby Baby (Netflix) and Seth Meyers: Dad Man Walking (HBO/Max), not a late-night desk set wheeled onto Third Avenue.

He also writes kids’ books (I’m Not Scared, You’re Scared hit the New York Times list) and co-hosts Family Trips with the Meyers Brothers plus The Lonely Island and Seth Meyers Podcast. None of that is the ticket. The ticket is 2,900-ish seats of Civic Theatre watching him work a room.

Getting There

The Civic Theatre sits at Third and B downtown. San Diego Theatres points parkers to the Evan V. Jones Parkade. The house is cashless for tickets, food, drinks, and binocular rentals. Bags should stay at or under 12" × 6" × 12"; they do not check coats or bags. Balcony seating is stairs-only — email ticketing@sandiegotheatres.org if you need accessible seats.

They want you there about 60 minutes before showtime. The on-site ticket office opens three hours before evening shows, cashless, and they recommend the first hour if you’re buying at the window.

Reprints and barcodes that weren’t downloaded before you arrive can pick up a $5 “green fee.” Seat locations and barcodes need to be readable at the door.

Good to Know

Official face-value pricing is not posted on the venue listing — it goes through Ticketmaster inventory, which moves. San Diego Theatres and Ticketmaster are the only authorized sellers they name. If a third-party site is cheaper, assume it’s resale.

This is a one-night Civic Theatre date, not a residency. If you want the Weekend Update voice in a real room instead of a phone, this is the November Friday.
