Overview

The TGIF Concerts in the Parks series kicks off its 40th season on Friday, June 19, 2026 with The Pistol Blonde — a tribute to the women of country — at Stagecoach Community Park in Carlsbad. It's a free, family-friendly outdoor concert running from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and one of North County's most beloved summer traditions.

The Pistol Blonde brings something unique to the Stagecoach stage — a high-energy show paying tribute to country music's biggest female voices, from classic to contemporary. It's the only show in the 2026 lineup with that singular focus, and the perfect kickoff to a nine-concert summer series.

About The Pistol Blonde

The Pistol Blonde — A Tribute to the Women of Country is the only tribute show in the 2026 TGIF lineup focused entirely on celebrating country music's legendary female artists. The band takes the audience on a musical journey through decades of country hits made famous by the genre's biggest women — expect a setlist spanning classic country to modern hits.

It's the kind of opening night that sets the tone for the whole TGIF season — high-energy, audience-engaging, and the kind of show that fills the lawn with families, picnics, and dancing by sundown.

About the TGIF Concerts in the Parks Series

The TGIF Concerts in the Parks series is in its 40th season in 2026 — Carlsbad's longest-running free outdoor concert tradition. Founded in 1986 (the same year the City of Carlsbad's Cultural Arts Office was established), TGIF now draws over 40,000 attendees annually across three community parks.

The 2026 lineup spans nine concerts and genres including country, brass/funk, dance band, yacht rock, Latin, salsa, 90s alt rock, R&B, funk, 80s hits, and rock and soul.
