This is the market to go to when you want ingredients you can't get at Vons.
Mira Mesa has one of San Diego's largest Filipino and Asian communities, and the market reflects it — not decoratively, but on the tables. Vendors carry jackfruit, balut, sea urchin and Japanese dumplings at home-cooking prices, alongside standard produce, seafood, farm eggs, flowers and honey. The prepared-food stands skew Filipino, with Mexican and Moroccan stands and dessert sellers in the mix.
The Tuesday afternoon-into-evening window matters too. This is a commuter market — people stopping on the way home to shop for dinner — not a weekend social outing. It runs in the Mira Mesa High School parking lot, and parking is free and easy, which is not something you can say about most San Diego markets.

Not Year-Round — It Closes in January
Several listings call this a year-round market. It isn't.
It runs roughly February through December in two blocks: the long season, March (or February) through October, closing at 7 p.m.; and the short winter season, November through December, closing at 6.
It closes for the whole month of January and reopens on the second Tuesday in February. That detail appears in the County's certified-market registry, the Farm Bureau listing and sandiego.org, so it's well corroborated — but the aggregators that flatten it to "year-round" are simply wrong.
Since you're reading this in September, you get the late close: 7 p.m.
No EBT, No WIC, No Market Match
This is unusual for a San Diego certified market and it's the kind of thing that wastes a trip, so it's worth stating plainly.
The County's registry records this market as accepting none of SNAP/EBT, Market Match, or WIC. Most certified markets in the county take at least one. If you're shopping on benefits, North Park, Little Italy or the PB Tuesday market will serve you better.
Parking and Getting There
Parking is the easy part. Free, on site, in the Mira Mesa High School lot, and consistently described as ample. After the parking situation at most coastal markets, this is a relief.
Transit: check before you rely on it. Mira Mesa Boulevard is a major MTS corridor with service at that intersection, but the market publishes no transit guidance and we couldn't verify specific route numbers from a primary source. Check sdmts.com rather than trusting a third-party map.
A small address quirk: every market source lists 10510 Reagan Road, but the school's own official address is 10510 Marauder Way. Same campus. Navigate to Reagan Road and Mira Mesa Boulevard — that's the corner the stalls actually occupy.
Good to Know
Bring cash and a cooler. It's a grocery market, and you're buying seafood and produce in the late afternoon.
Go for what you can't get elsewhere. The specialty produce and Filipino prepared food are the reason this market is worth a drive; the standard produce is standard.
The start time is genuinely disputed. The County registry and the market's own Facebook page say 2:30 p.m.; the Farm Bureau and sandiego.org say 3:00. We've published 2:30 because the organizer's own channel outranks a directory, but if you're making a special trip for the opening bell, call first.
