Chunky Hustle Brass Band at Carlsbad's TGIF Concerts in the Parks, Friday June 26 at Stagecoach Community Park. Free outdoor concert, all ages, doors at 4 PM.

Overview

The TGIF Concerts in the Parks series continues on Friday, June 26, 2026 with Chunky Hustle Brass Band taking the stage at Stagecoach Community Park in Carlsbad. It's a free, family-friendly outdoor concert running from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM — and one of North County's most beloved summer traditions.

Chunky Hustle brings a New Orleans street funk and R&B sound that's evolved into a brass-driven pop spectacle — equal parts horn-section workout and dance-floor energy. The band started as a 2017 protest band and has since become a Southern California staple.

About Chunky Hustle Brass Band

Chunky Hustle Brass Band emerged as a protest band in 2017 with a palette of New Orleans street funk and R&B. Their sound has expanded to incorporate ska, brass-driven pop covers, and high-energy dance grooves. Whether it's a club show, street parade, or backyard party, the band is built for movement.

For TGIF, expect a setlist heavy on funk grooves, big horn arrangements, and crowd-pleasing covers reimagined through the New Orleans brass lens.
